Mural Competition

Our tutor encouraged us to participate in a mural competition, which sounded like a great opportunity.

The challenge was to create an art piece on A1-sized paper based on the theme 'Unity through Diversity'. After some discussion, a few friends and I decided to team up and enter the competition.

Idea Process

While we were researching on ideas on what to put into our mural, my friends Irdhina binti Mazli Sham and Loh Kai Xuan suggested that we could use fantasy creatures instead of people and they started on making the designs of the creatures.

We did a few of the drafts and decided on the draft with the tree looping around the creatures.

Reflection

Creating the mural with my friends was a truly enjoyable experience, and I’m glad we chose such a meaningful theme. Although we didn’t win the competition, we had a great time working together, and that’s what mattered most.
