Ideation Process
Figure 1 Pinterest Inspiration
Quote: We Rise Together As Our Destiny Unfolds
Summary: This quote is from the song “Hope Is The Thing With Feathers”, which celebrates positivity, being free and the power to shape our own future. I wanted to reflect this uplifting message in my posters by incorporating a vibrant spectrum of colors throughout.
Here are a few more references for the color palette I am for.
Sketches
Figure 3 Sketches
I revisited and redrew the traditional sketch, putting extra effort into refining the details. Additionally, I created an alternative sketch as a backup, just in case the original idea didn’t achieve the desired outcome.
Mr. Hafiz gave me a few advices on how I should improve my typography to fit into the illustration. So I followed his advice and completed the final sketch.
Here is the final sketch I chose.

Figure 6 Filled in Colors
Once I completed the outlines, I moved on to filling in the colors.
Initially, the colors I selected didn't feel quite right, so I revisited and
adjusted them to achieve a more harmonious look.
Figure 7 Picture of Me
This is a photo of myself that I took, mimicking the pose I used in my
sketch. To enhance the composition, I also explored running poses on
Pinterest for additional inspiration. Afterward, I imported the photo into
Photoshop to adjust the colors, ensuring it appeared more vibrant and
well-lit instead of dull or dark.
Figure 8 Editing the Flow
After incorporating my photo into the poster, I used the brush tool to add
dynamic splashes of color, enhancing the overall composition and visual
impact. I also adjusted the colors to of myself to fit the background so my
photo wouldn't look out of place.
I was unsure where to place the quote and struggled on it for a while. After
I received feedback from my tutor and my friends, I had an idea on where the
quote could should be placed.
