Instructions

Process

This final project is a continuation of project 1 where we had to make a poster. Since the final project was a group project consisting of two people, we had to choose whose recipe would be the final animation. We both agreed on choosing my partner's recipe which was "Pitta Di Patate".

This is the poster as a reference made by my groupmate Irdhina.

Here is the recipe in a google docs in detail.

Since this storyboard was made by my groupmate Irdhina, I had to take over in making the animatic part.

Figure 1.3 Animatic

I made the animatic by combining most of the storyboard as keyframes and selected parts to animate and drew some parts that needed to be redrawn.

Figure 1.4 Audio Links

This is the google docs that includes all the audios that were used in the final SFX audio.

Figure 1.5 Organizing

First off, I organized the video in different parts. I separated my part of the video into 4 parts, title (intro), potato mix, filling, end credits so it would be easier for me to compile.

Figure 1.6 Intro And End Credits

I first start with the intro which was just the title. The title was simple, I just resized the front parts of all the individual texts and timed it when it'll pop up. As for the end credits, I just put in texts.

Figure 1.7 Potato Mix And Filling

For the potato mix, I simply just followed the animatic and by making it smoother. After that, I moved on to the filling. The filing was also the same process where I had to mask some images. As for the oil, I just made the shape filling inside the pot and set the opacity to 50% then sized it up when its filling up the pot.

Figure 1.8 Compiling My Part

The compiling is just adding the instructions for all the parts and combining everything.

Figure 1.8 My Animation Part

I added the background music to see if it fits with everything after combining mine and Irdhina's part of the animation. The background music is by shushubobo on Youtube.

Figure 1.9 SFX Audio

Here is the SFX audio I did in Adobe Audition. I edited some of the audios in pitch to make them sound lower or higher.

Figure 2.0 Screenshot Of The Final Compilation

Finally I compiled everything in Premiere Pro and lowered the background music so that the SFX would be louder.

Feedback

Week 6

This week, he suggested us to try panning the camera view to a different angle so that the viewers could have a better view of the pie instead of it being a front side view.

Week 7

This week, he approved our animatic and just told us to adjust the timing of the food when it comes out of the oven a little.

Week 8

We had a replacement consultation class for week 8, he gave some feedback to add more movements the the hands kneading the dough.

Reflection

This project was one of my most favorite assignment since it was making an animation video. I had fun animating everything on Adobe After Effects. However, I had a tough time on Adobe Audition because of the lag after adding too many audios into one multitrack. I had some help from my groupmate finding some of the audios I needed and I managed to pull through and complete everything. Overall, I am very proud of this project.
